hello, world

I'm finally doing it. I'm starting a blog of my own. Blog-reading has become a hobby for me ever since I accessed Daniel's blog for the first time a little over a year ago. Since then, I have discovered about 15 more blogs that I continue to follow. The more I read, the more I realize that you can really get to know someone well through their written thoughts. Of course, I enjoy reading about my friends’ interests, relationships, quirks, fun adventures, and opinions through their posts. But, it’s an even greater joy to feel like I’m walking with them through this life, bearing their burdens and rejoicing with them through blessings. Even beyond that, I feel like God has given me a greater perspective about Himself and about life through the thoughts of others, some of whom I've never even met. One of my favorite people to keep up with is Lauren. I’ve never met her but I happened to stumble across her blog once and have been soaking up her wisdom and strength ever since. She’s a young mother whose husband drowned in a boating accident soon after their son was born. It encourages me a lot to read about the richness of God’s love, comfort, healing, and provision through her deep pain and uncertainty. I hope that my blog will be as much of a blessing to others as Lauren’s (and many others’) has been to me. Comparatively, I am not the most refined writer and don’t always have the most profound thoughts (when I do, it’s exceedingly difficult for me to record them in an organized, logical, and timely manner) but I trust that God can use me through my weaknesses.

My goal for this blog is simple: I want to publish how God is leading my life and working in and through me as I strive to follow Him. I just pray that God will use my words to point others to Jesus and cause them to fall more in love with Him.
